Corrections Policy

Our commitment

We are committed to accuracy. If you find a factual error, email [email protected] with "Correction report" in the subject line. We will review within 48 hours and publish a correction notice if warranted.

What to include

  • The page URL and the exact claim you dispute.
  • Your evidence: manufacturer page, manual page number, code section, or dataset.
  • Whether we may follow up with questions.

How we handle reports

  • Substantiated errors (wrong spec, price, interval, code reference) are corrected promptly, and material corrections are noted with an updated verification date on the article.
  • Disputed interpretations (sizing philosophy, brand assessments) are reviewed against sources; where evidence is mixed, we clarify wording rather than silently editing.
  • Out-of-scope reports (quotes for your home, installer disputes, warranty claims) receive a referral to the manufacturer or a local professional — we cannot adjudicate individual cases.

Transparency

We do not stealth-edit load-bearing facts. When a correction changes a recommendation, number, or conclusion, the article's verification date moves and the change is visible. See also our editorial policy.
